Aromatherapy Scented Candle

Buying an aromatherapy scented candle can be your first step towards living a life enhanced by the benefits of aromatherapy.

Sure, a scented candle will freshen the air in a room and the flick of the flame will add to your decor… (not to mention your Feng Shui)…

…but using aromatherapy for headaches has been studied and many believe that it works. Scented candles can also become your favorite aromatherapy depression cure.

Aromatherapy can also help with your stuffy nose, insomnia and many more ailments such as bad mood and anger.

Choosing the Perfect Scented Candle

How do you go about choosing the perfect aromatherapy scented candle? The previous link will give you more information on how to choose an aromatherapy candle if you intend on giving it to someone else. How should you choose one for yourself?

Well, that’s a personal decision, isn’t it? You can choose based on color, style, scent or convenience. At the end of the day, you will be the one enjoying your candles.

Here are a few of my personal recommendations:

  • Pick a color that will not clash with your personal taste or home decor.
  • Pick a scent that appeals to you.
  • Discover what aromatherapy benefit you wish to gain from using the candle and factor that into your decision. For example:

For depression, try citrus-scented or ylang-ylang candles such as these candles: Mandarin Orange or Ylang Ylang.

For irritability, try vanilla or other “food” scents that have positive effects on you. The selection of “comfort food” candle shown below is pretty good!

Therepe Cafe Soy Jar Candle – (Hazelnut Cappuccino)

Coffee Shop French Vanilla Latte Glass Mug Candles

For concentration, try pine-scented candles such as this one:
  • Go with your personal experience. Does the smell of cherries, strawberries, blueberries, cotton or rain make you happy?
