For centuries, teas and tonics were used to promote better health while using natural herbs. Feel free to experiment with these teas (if you’re not allergic to any of these herbs, of course!).
Dandelion tea, nettle tea, and catnip tea can be enjoyed by themselves but they are also key components of these herbal teas.
Tea for Weight Loss
Combine the following herbs and add to 2 cups of boiled water. Let this slimming tea steep for about 3 to 5 minutes before drinking:
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Dandelion Tea (leaf)
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Nettle Tea (leaf)
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Alfalfa Leaf
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Yerba Mate Herb
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) Cinnamon Bark
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) Fennel Tea (seed)
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) Ginger Root
Tea for Relaxation
Add these herbs to 2 cups of boiling water. Let this relaxation tea steep for about 3 to 5 minutes before drinking. You can also let it cool and add ice to drink as iced tea:
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Dandelion Tea (Root)
- 5 ml (1 tsp) Nettle Tea (leaf)
- 5 ml (1 tsp) Raspberry Leaf
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Chamomile Tea (Flower)
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Rosemary Leaf
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) Licorice Root
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) Ginger Root
Craving-Free Tea
If your cravings control your body, perhaps it’s time to give this herbal tea a chance.
- 5 ml (1 tsp) Basil Leaf
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Catnip Tea (Leaf)
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Cinnamon Bark
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Lemon Balm Herb
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Spearmint Leaf
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) Clove Bud
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) Dandelion Tea (Root)
Passion Tea
Go ahead and share a cup of tea with the one you love. Bring two cups of water to a boil and add the following ingredients. Let it cool before drinking:
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Fennel Tea (seed)
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Cardamom Seed
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Cinnamon Bark
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Rose Flower
- 2 ml (1/2 tsp) Ginger Root
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) Fenugreek Seed
The last of these teas and tonics may remind you of chai tea.
